With the pandemic all around, and keeping the social distance as the base the world is running literaly on the digital world keeping all the information on the clouds. Let us analyse the two scenarios Pre-Covid and Post-Covid in respect to the influence on the digital world. Previously, in India, most of the retailers, firms, companies, etc were relying on Direct Physical Marketing like Posters, Pamphlets, etc. These techniques used to help them with a decent amount of sales as well to survive in the market but in the Post-Covid situation where the buyers are preferring to go digital and checking the reviews for all the shops online and paying a visit, it has become mandatory for all the kind of business to create a digital presence. Today, before we go out for dining we first check if the restaurant is sanitized, what is the sanitization process used maybe if the video of sanitization is available etc before paying a visit. The price is not a bar for safety and we prefer to book our table in advance so we do not need to face the hustle in the crowd. This is the phase change in our decision-making that has emerged post the pandemic. This change is not only for a limited crowd but for almost the entire globe new normal. Now, the question rises how to come along with this new normal sitting on the other side of the table. The answer is to go digital but the question remains “How, What, Where” etc.
With the buzz all around, it is very much important to understand what are our needs based on the business that we are doing, scaling of the business, etc. The digitization is both global and local with the advanced algorithm and other platforms. Identify the need, discuss the same with your digital partner. It is not always needed to have an inhouse team but for outsourcing, you must sit with them and have 2 to 3 rounds of discussion as required to understand if the both of you are on the same page. Moreover, just outsourcing doesn’t help, you need to get involved in this in the beginning stages to understand and be assured that the message floating on the digital platform is the same as you want to send out to the global forum for your brand.
